Restart A Heart Day

Restart a Heart Day is a designated yearly day of action with the aim to teach vital life-saving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills to as many people as possible.

Restart A Heart Day 2018

This year, Restart a Heart is going global! For the first time, it will be called World Restart a Heart – with support from resuscitation councils covering America (North, Central and South), Canada, South Africa, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, as well as Europe. Once again, it will take place on 16 October, although events will occur on and around that date.

Restart a Heart Day facts

Developed by the European Resuscitation Council, Restart a Heart Day was created to raise awareness of the importance of teaching members of the public how to help restart the heart of someone who has suffered a cardiac arrest. In the UK, Restart a Heart Day has fast become a major national event for the mass public training of children within secondary schools, with around 195,000 young people being taught CPR in 2017 alone!

Restart a Heart is a designated yearly day of action with the aim to teach vital life-saving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills to as many people as possible.

By being a part of this global initiative, Liverpool Training Solutions are running a number of 1 Day Emergency First Aid courses in Liverpool to help the European Resuscitation Council reach its goal of training over 200,000 people and further increase the number of people trained in CPR around the world. What’s more, as well as helping to save lives, our participation will be a great way to promote our services to the local community.
