Course aims:
The Anaphylaxis first aid training is absolutely essential for anyone who may need to deal with severe allergic reactions. It provides comprehensive knowledge and understanding on how to prevent, recognize and treat such reactions, as well as proper use of auto-injectors and CPR in the workplace.

Anaphylaxis First Aid Training and use of (Epi-Pen) – Course Content:

Delegates will take active participation in the practical demonstrations of the EpiPen®, Anapen® and JextPen® in order to achieve certification.

  • Common causes of anaphylaxis
  • Understand the role and responsibilities of the first aider
  • Unconscious casualty management
  • Auto-injector – Anapen®, JextPen® and EpiPen®
  • Anaphylaxis – signs, symptom and treatment
  • Possible Side Effects from the application of an Auto Injector
  • Assessing the situation and acting safely, effectively and promptly in an emergency
  • Allergic reactions
  • Asthma
  • Recording accidents and incidents
  • communication and casualty care
  • Related health and safety awareness
  • Practical Demonstrations

Assessment and Certification:
The Training Instructor will carry out continuous assessment throughout the course and candidates will receive a Certificate of attendance valid for 1 year.
