Who is this course suitable for:
This 3 day first aid at Work qualification is a competency based course, which will train delegates in both theoretical and practical aspects of First Aid to the standards required by the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
This 3 Day First Aid at Work training course is recommended for all industry sectors were a nominated first aider/s is required in the workplace. On completion of the course the delegates will be able to carry out their duties as the nominated first aider – this level 3 Award (QCF) qualification is valid for 3 years.
This First Aid at Work course is delivered over a 3 Day period (Normally 6 hours per session) Ideally, the course should be run over three consecutive days. We can deliver the course over 3 days within a 10 week period to meet your business needs if required.
This First Aid at Work course provides essential training for all types of business in both high and low-risk sectors. This course provides a recognised qualification for the delegate as well as equipping them with vital first aid skills
First Aid at Work Course content:
The First Aid at Work training module will provide delegates with the appropriate knowledge and skills needed to deal with a wide variety of emergency first aid situations in a confident manner. The course syllabus will the following topics:

- Incident and casualty assessment
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- Unconscious casualty
- Management of a seizure
- Accident report form
- Respiratory system
- Chest injuries
- Asthma and hyperventilation
- Circulatory system
- Wounds and Bleeding
- Eye injuries
- Fractures, dislocations, sprains and strains
- Head and spinal injuries
- Secondary survey
- Epilepsy and diabetes
- Multiple choice question paper / written assessment
- Course close and evaluation

Assessment and Certification:
Assessment for this First Aid at Work course is ongoing by the instructor throughout the course and involves a number of practical assessments including CPR. On completion of the training delegates will receive an accredited first aid certificate, QA level 3 Award (QCF) Valid for 3 Years.
